ASI Engineering was engaged to complete comprehensive Building Condition Assessments (BCAs) for two of Victoria’s historic performance venues, the Royal Theatre and McPherson Playhouse. The project focuses on understanding current building conditions, identifying lifecycle needs, and developing a long-term capital planning strategy.

The assessment includes a multidisciplinary review of structural systems, building envelope, roofing, interiors, mechanical and electrical systems, life safety, accessibility, site elements, and heritage-related features. ASI also reviewed previous assessment information to identify changes in condition and emerging risks.

The project delivers prioritized recommendations, Opinions of Probable Cost, and 20-year capital renewal plans to support informed investment decisions and help preserve these important heritage performance venues for future generations.
